What browsers does NICKLpass support?
NICKLpass supports browsers built on Chromium, which includes Chrome and Brave. Unfortunately, we don’t support other browsers like Safari or Firefox yet.
How do I install the NICKLpass browser extension?
Installation is super simple. Just follow these steps and get reading.
Do you have a mobile app?
Not yet, but we’re working on it.
How do I know if NICKLpass is working?
Activate your NICKLpass by clicking on a publisher in your extension menu or whenever you hit a paywalled article. You’ll see a brief overlay page while NICKLpass unlocks the paywall. You’ll only need to do this once for each publication, so don’t worry if you don’t see it.
Having trouble using NICKLpass on a site?
Occasionally, the overlay page will take longer than expected to bring you back to your article. If this happens, just reload the page.
Do publishers still get paid when I remove paywalls?
Absolutely. Each member’s access to a paywalled news site is always matched up to a corresponding subscription that is managed by NICKLpass.
What about ads?
Our goal is to protect and diversify publishers’ revenue streams, including ad revenue. For this reason, NICKLpass currently does not block ads hosted on news sites’ own pages.

Can I sign up for multiple NICKLpass memberships?
